Goto Monster

Goto Monster. Filipino Restaurant. | Goto Bagnet. Tokwa (Tofu)+Mushrooms. Goto Tinapa. Bibingka Waffles. | Not your ordinary Goto (Congee)! The Goto Bagnet a steaming Congee topped with Spring Onions, Toasted Garlic, Tinapa Flakes, Salted Egg & Bagnet. The Goto Tinapa a steaming Congee topped with Spring Onions, Toasted Garlic & Tinapa Flakes. Both Goto are good. It has a similar consistency of Lugaw & Arros Caldo. It is served hot & so delicious. Then squeeze some calamansi to wake up all the flavors & add a slightly tart taste. The bagnet add a crispy & meaty texture. The salted egg makes it more delicious. The tinapa flakes add a smoky & salty taste. It is best paired with tokwa & mushrooms. Its not your usual tokwa’t baboy. Then add their homemade vinegar & some chili oil. The tokwa & mushrooms absorbs the sourness of the vinegar plus the spicyness of the chili oil..yum! By the way, they used Shitake mushrooms. Umami indeed! For happy endings, the Bibingka Waffle. It is topped with special Bukayo (Sweetened Coconut), Duck Salted Egg, Salted Caramel Sauce & Vanilla Ice Cream. The waffle is soft & a bit moist. The bukayo add a rich sweet taste & has a chewy consistency. The flavor reminds me of Pan de Coco. The salted egg & salted caramel sauce makes it more luscious..sweet & salty! The vanilla ice cream balances all the flavors. It makes the dessert more classic, creamy & smooth. | What i like about Goto Monster is that, they will let you experience eat your food at the kanto (street corner) just like the old days. Their Goto is very special because they topped it with tinapa flakes & salted egg. And they make it by batches to ensure the freshness & quality. They have 9 toppings which are Bagnet, Shanghai, Mushrooms, Tokwa, Tinapa, Toasted Garlic, Spring Onions & Beef Tripe. They offer different kinds of Altanghap’s silog as well. Have you heard about the Goto Monster Challenge? Man vs Food.. They will upsize it to 7-10 servings of bowl (see upper left picture, thats the bowl) & finished it within 45 mins. or pay P750. If you win, you’ll get a free shirt, meal & ofcourse a video & photo proof. Good food & super affordable. | Located at P. Ocampo Street cor. Dungon Street, San Antonio Village, Makati City.
