Magnum Cafe (Part Deux)

Magnum Cafe (Part Deux). Savory Dishes & Signature Desserts. | Crostini Three Ways. Magnum Bolognese. Magnum Burger. Rainbow Dream. Cookie Dough Skillet. | Life’s little pleasure… The Crostini Three Ways: Seared Tuna with Tomato Jam, Truffle Mushroom and Magnum Fresh Ricotta Crostini. I like the Truffle Mushroom more. Its flavorful & the mushroom really gives a meaty-earthy texture. My second favorite was the Magnum Fresh Ricotta Crostini. Its a house made ricotta cheese, whiped with parmesan & spices topped with slow roasted cherry tomatoes on crostini. Its rich & slightly sweet. The Magnum Bolognese is a slow simmered minced meat with Pomodoro, finished with Magnum Milk Chocolate shavings. This was ok for me.. A classic spaghetti with added bitter flavor from the milk chocolate shavings. The noodles were al dente. The Pomodoro sauce was slighlty sour. Presentation wise..it should be a Magnum ice cream bar look a like. But its still on the works. The Magnum Burger is a 1/3 pound beef patty cooked to your doneness, classically topped with cheddar, lettuce & tomato on a brioche bun. Its just your classic burger..nothing spectacular (next time will order the kitayama wagyu burger or the breakfast burger). The patty was tender & the brioche bun add a buttery flavor. Lastly the desserts, Rainbow Dream a white chocolate covered vanilla Magnum bar covered in dreamy rainbow cake crumble, on a moist slice of cream cheese rainbow cake. Its luscious, moist & sweet. But to balance the sweetness add some whipped cream & strawberry. To make it more tasty have a bite of the vanilla Magnum bar. The Cookie Dough Skillet is a warm chocolate chip cookie dough topped with two vanilla Magnum bars, dark chocolate & chopped pecans. The cookie dough was soft, warm & sweet. The vanilla Magnum bars makes this dessert more sinful. Let it melt over the cookie dough…crazy good! | It has a modern & elegant ambiance. When you enter the cafe, you’ll notice a big “M”which is made up of Magnum sticks…amazing! The Savory Dishes for me was ok. I think they should improve their food plating/ presentation. The Signature Desserts was superb! | Located at 5/F SM Aura Premiere, McKinley Parkway cor. 26th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila.
