Oje de Bife (Angus Rib Eye Steak). Rogel De Dulce De Leche. Chocotorta. | Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurant 2014, La Cabrera is #17 on their list & now it is here in Manila. The Empanada de Carne is a mince beef pastry with Chimichuri & Criolla sauce. The empanada is compact & meaty. I love it with Criolla sauce which makes it more delicious. The chimichuri add a classic & rich taste. Yum! Lets talk about the steak. The Rib Eye is perfectly cooked, tender & flavorful. All steaks come with cold sides which they call Lupa (set of cold sides). You can choose whatever do you like. I like it with couscous, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes & blueberry marbled potatoes. It really goes well with the steak which makes it more tasty. It comes with Hot sides as well. I like the Humita. A puree of corn, bellpeppers & cheese with honey mustard. It add a sweet, tangy taste to the steak. The caramelized garlic makes the steak garlicky sweet. For sweet endings, the Rogel De Dulce De Leche ~ layers of crisp biscuit & Argentine dulce de leche topped with meringue. Its like eating yema & sansrival in one. The sweetness really explodes in your mouth, chewy in texture & best paired with coffee. The Chocotorta an Argentinian birthday cake layers of cream dulce de leche & chocolate cookie crust. It has the right amount of sweetness, classic, delightful, kids will love this and adults alike. | La Cabrera Manila has a rustic, elegant & homey ambiance with whimsical accents like kitchen utensils hanging from chandeliers. Its an open grill so you’ll see how your steak is cooked which is located at the back of the resto. They offer chicken & pasta as well. They are different from other steak house/resto because of their unlimited side dishes which makes eating more fun. | Located at 6750 Ayala Avenue, Makati City.
