Weekend Staycation at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila

Let’s admit, sometimes life could be stressful and we want to take a break from it, whether we go out of town or abroad. Nowadays there is an increase and becomes popular on having vacation in a hotel which is called “staycation”. It is a great help when you find time to relax especially when its just in the city.

We spent three days at Marco Polo Ortigas in a Premier Room. The best thing about this hotel is that you really feel that you’re at home, and you don’t want to leave, you just want to stay and relax. Our room is spacious and clean. And what I like about it is their bathroom. It’s roomy and the his & her sink. I know it is silly but I love it because we have our own space/area. Love the Nespresso Coffee Machine too (teehee).

Our first day at Marco Polo was sipping tea and savored some simple-classic scones, mini sandwiches and cakes while enjoying the panoramic view of the city at the Connect Lounge’s Afternoon Tea.

Of course, we want to eat well on our staycation with authentic flavors of Hong Kong that Lung Hin offers, and dim sum will always be my favorite.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. On our second day we enjoyed and experienced a gratifying dining in the comfort of our hotel room.

There is so much to do at Marco Polo. They offer an extensive range of services and facilities. One of them is the swimming pool. Its an indoor infinity pool which is located on the 22nd floor and overlooking the Ortigas cityscape.

After our swim, its time for some lunch at Cucina. And we’re so lucky to savor some of great regional dishes during their Brit-Fest. I must say, the selections were good.

Now then, its time to rest and relax and prepare ourselves for a fun night at Vu’s Sky Bar.

Located on the top 45th floor of the hotel with 180 degree view of Ortigas while enjoying their mouthwatering samplers of antipasti and wine. A night to remember indeed!

After that long and fun and night, we need some power breakfast. So we head on to Cucina’s Breakfast Buffet. There are so many choices and of course some pancakes, eggs and bacon is a must for me.

We really enjoyed our three day stay at Marco Polo. Our stay really helped us to relax and unwind. We need that every once in a while. For us, Marco Polo feels like home.
