Bacon Lovers Unite: The KFC Baconized Zinger is Here!
KFC, or the Kentucky Fried Chicken, has been known as the most innovative food chain that has driven its way to being one of the top chains when it comes to its global sales. KFC’s finger-lickin’ good food has brought every man’s dream to life. At present, KFC has introduced innovations such as Cracklings (chicken made into chips), Double Down (chicken as buns), and, Chaco (chicken made into a taco shell).
In the Philippines, bacon in a chicken fillet sandwich is a rare-find. What’s common would be bacon in a meat-filled burger. But KFC is not just bringing us bacon in a bun, they’re bringing us other types of bacon in our sandwiches too! Today, a new innovation comes our way that will drive bacon lovers crazy and all foodies curious.
Three Bacon Features in Your Favorite Dish
The crowd favorite KFC Zinger was made even better with three different types of bacon. Who wouldn’t crave the Zinger when Bacon was added to its name right? Never would I miss this! The Baconized Zinger comes in this form — the sesame bun, crowd’s sought-after bacon strips, baconnaise sauce (which really is bacon flavored mayonnaise made smoky and sweet), fresh lettuce, rich cheese, KFC’s signature Zinger fillet, minced bacon generously sautéed in onion with a glaze of brown sugar which they call bacon relish, and the other bun. This right here is my personal fully loaded meal that comes in a finger-lickin’ good form!
What I certainly liked about the KFC Baconized Zinger is the mixture of all the flavors. The Zinger has never failed to disappoint – hands up to its spicy flavor. But even more satisfying is the spiciness mixed with the smoky barbecue taste, and the sweetness of the baconnaise sauce and bacon relish. The oozing battle of flavors won my heart – not to mention the firm taste of the cheese and the added flavor from the crispy lettuce.
It is also not conservative with the flavor. In one bite, you won’t miss the baconnaise sauce and bacon relish that keeps adding flavor to the Zinger. Not to worry, the rich and creamy taste did not overpower the taste of the Zinger (for those non-saucy foodies out there), but it did a whole new sweetness to the regular spicy Zinger.
Baconized Fries: A Twist in Your Fries
The Zinger alone more than filled my empty tummy but also new in the menu is the baconized bucket of fries. The three innovated ways of bacon are also on the fries! The only difference is that the form of bacon was changed to bits instead of strips. I like how the bacon bits was crispy and crunchy. The fries was topped with baconnaise sauce and bacon relish that gave the fries a smoky barbecue flavor, yet sweet and creamy mayonnaise taste. I initially thought my tummy was filled but I found myself continuously eating the fries.

Overall Baconized Experience
I was so glad to have tried the Baconized Zinger and fries. I enjoyed the sweetness and barbecue taste of the baconnaise sauce and the bacon relish. I liked how the spiciness of the Zinger was regulated with all the sauces. It made the regular Zinger seem brand new! As a bacon lover myself, I loved the strips of bacon that added a hint of salty taste to even out the creamy and sweet baconnaise. I’d definitely add this in my go-to KFC order!
KFC, indeed, stayed true to its finger-lickin good motto! This revolutionary innovation is a definite must-try for all foodies out there. It’s an innovation like no other.
