Kuya J Restaurant: Halo-Halo Espesyal
Finally, I got to try Kuya J Restaurant. And this time with their newest product, the Halo-Halo Espesyal.
Halo-Halo is a popular Filipino dessert. It has various boiled sweet beans and fruits then topped with shaved ice and evaporated milk with ube and leche flan.
With the scorching heat of summer, the best way to beat it is with Kuya J Halo-Halo Espesyal. It is the newest best tasting summer bida of Kuya J. Its paper thin shaved ice makes it more “espesyal”. The shaved ice is made out of milk. That’s why it is rich, creamy and really melts in your mouth. But of course, a classic halo-halo isn’t complete without the mix of tasty ingredient found at the bottom of the glass. Once you dig in, you’ll taste the sweet and meaty macapuno strips, red and green bata de coco, caramelised saba, velvety ube jam and glazed langka. Then topped with thick chunk of homemade leche flan, sprinkled with crunchy corn flakes and drizzled with ube cream. Sarap (delicious)!
Look how Jericho loves the Kuya J’s Halo-Halo Espesyal!
Go grab a glass of the best ka-summer, Kuya J Halo-Halo Espesyal. It comes in cool price of only Php 99. How cool is that?!
Of course my Kuya J experience wouldn’t be complete without tasting their best seller the “Crispy Pata” and other good food that Kuya J’s has to offer.
Here are some of the food that we savour at Kuya J.
Danggit Rice Platter. It is best paired with Crispy Pata. So good!
Chorizo Dinamitas. Never leave Kuya J without trying this delicious appetizer. Its salty, spicy and best paired with their halo-halo. Yum!
Grilled Scallops. Each scallops has garlic, cheese and butter sauce. It is best eaten while its hot.
Kare-Kare. Another famous Filipino dish. This should be paired with lots of rice. The oxtail was perfectly cooked and the sauce really goes well with plain rice that makes you want to eat more.
My experience at Kuya J was just superb! A casual dining restaurant that offers great Filipino food in a homey dining experience.
Meeting Kuya J’s endorser, Mr. Jericho Rosales make the experience more memorable. I will definitely come back especially for the Halo-Halo, Chorizo Dinamitas and Crispy Pata.
