Runner’s Kitchen

To us, eating healthy means no flavour, expensive and of course small portions. But believe me Healthy Food can be delicious, good for sharing and affordable.

Runner’s Kitchen can please everyone, whether you’re cutting calories, less sugar and/or no carbs at all. A healthy lifestyle involves many choices such as healthy eating or a balanced diet. At Runner’s Kitchen you can indulge without the bulge.

Let’s talk about their yummy healthy food.

Their smoothies are made from whole fruits and vegetables. They contain no dairy or simple syrup. We had Matipuno (Banana+Peanut Butter+Cacao Nibs+Cashew MIlk), Malusog (Spinach+Oats+Banana+Cashew Milk) and Masigla (Kale+Mango+Pineapple). Honestly, everything was so good.

Adobo Whole Wheat Nachos. It has lean organic pork, pineapple mango salsa, cheddar cheese, fresh corn and house-made mayo on top of whole wheat tortilla chips. This is so yummy. I can finish this all by myself, promise!

Watermelon Kale Salad. Locally grown kale, romaine lettuce and pickled cucumber tossed in balsamic vinaigrette then topped with balsamic reduction and candied pili nuts. It is light, fresh and the sweetness of the watermelon…ahhh summer salad indeed!

Spicy Tuna Quinoa Roll. A low carb roll for sushi lovers. Raw sushi-grade tuna, cucumber, mango sriracha aioli, coconut cream and ginger soy reduction. My favourite, love at first bite!

Paprika Prawns and Cauliflower Rice. Pan-seared prawns, red radish, crispy basil and spinach with sun-dried tomato yogurt. You can have the proteins on their own or you can choose between black rice, roasted sweet potato, quinoa or cauliflower rice to go with your protein. I love prawns and that cauliflower rice really goes well with it. Simply good!

Stir Fried Veggies & Quinoa Bowl. Squash, sitaw, cranberries, cashew nuts and grass-fed sirloin on top of quinoa. Savory, sweet and meaty! A perfect and complete meal for me!

Run365 Marathon Special. This dish features sizes of their 5k, 10k, and 21k Power Breakfast Rice Plates. Organic chicken tocino, grass-fed beef tapa and native boar sausage on a plate with black rice, an organic egg and a side salad. Truly a breakfast of champions!

Tahini Quinoa Super Wrap. Mushrooms, chickpeas, carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber, lettuce and cashew candy in a whole wheat wrap. To make it more tasty you can add chicken…yum!

Gluten Free Chocolate Waffles. Their own gluten free chocolate waffle mix with glazed bananas, coco syrup and cashew nuts. Healthy and delicious!

Whole Wheat Peach Mango Pie. The crowd favourite…no need to go to a fast-food chain for your fix. And that vegan vanilla ice cream makes it more luscious.

I  love Runner’s Kitchen interior. It is a nice place to hangout and drink smoothie or coffee with your friends. A perfect instagrammable setting not only for food shots but of course have your ootd’s perfect shot.

What I love about Runner’s Kitchen is that they support the organic food movement. And they make things fresh and from scratch with ingredients that come directly from small farms.

Meet Bianca King one of the owners. And let me leave you with what they want to share about eating healthy food… “People also say ‘healthy eating is expensive’ but Bianca and Xander ask to look at this way – you are putting it in your body right? Your health and your looks are on the line. It’s the best investment you can do for yourself, so feed yourself well. Not deprive yourself of great food you need to keep yourself happy and strong.” They understand the struggles of eating what you want and eating what you need. They solved that problem at Runner’s Kitchen so you can enjoy eating healthy!
